POSH Compliance & COMBAT POSH SOCIETY

Fostering safe, equitable, and harassment-free workplaces through certified Internal Committee (IC) constitution, employee training, statutory audits, and NGO empowerment initiatives.

About POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Act, 2013

The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 is a mandatory statutory enactment binding every employer in India.

POSH ensures a safe and respectful workplace by addressing and prohibiting sexual harassment through robust institutional policies, mandatory employee training, and systemic awareness. It creates gender equality, preserves employee psychological safety, and protects organizational leadership from heavy statutory fines (up to ₹50,000 and potential cancellation of business licenses for repeated non-compliance).

Common POSH Questions Answered

An IC must comprise: (1) A Presiding Officer who is a woman employed at a senior level in the workplace; (2) At least 2 employee members committed to women's causes or possessing legal knowledge; (3) One External Member from an NGO or legal association committed to preventing sexual harassment. At least half of the total members must be women.

Failure to constitute an IC or failure to act on recommendations under the POSH Act exposes the employer to a fine of up to ₹50,000 for the first offense. Repeated violations may result in double the fine, suspension, or cancellation of business licenses/registrations by the state government.

We provide a complete turnkey POSH solution: drafting legally compliant policies, providing certified and experienced external members for your IC, holding interactive virtual or in-person sensitization workshops for employees, conducting mock IC trials, and preparing and filing the mandatory Annual POSH Report with the local District Officer.
